The Grady Health Foundation is excited to announce the 2nd Annual Rock-N-Ride event, scheduled for June 23, 2012.

Rock-N-Ride — featuring motorcycles and music and honoring our state’s First Responders — is a benefit for the Grady Health Foundation and the Gold Shield Foundation.

2011 Highlights

The 2011 inaugural event was a huge success! Law enforcement officers, firefighters and EMS personnel from across the state filled the downtown area. The festivities, presented by AirTran Airways and Hard Rock Café, attracted more than 450 motorcycle enthusiasts who rode from Killer Creek Harley-Davidson in Roswell to the Hard Rock Café in downtown Atlanta. The motorcyclists arrived downtown for an afternoon of music and performances on both the main stage on Peachtree Street and inside at Hard Rock Café’s Velvet Underground stage.

Our partnership with Gold Shield is a perfect fit. The Grady Health System (GHS) — supported by the Grady Health Foundation — treats injured First Responders and the Gold Shield Foundation provides financial assistance, as well as personal and emotional support, to surviving families of injured and deceased law enforcement officers and firefighters.

Our 2012 event will kick off in Roswell at the Killer Creek Harley-Davidson dealership with more than 1,000 participants. These riders will leave Killer Creek at approximately 2 p.m. on June 23 and make their way to downtown Atlanta, arriving at the Hard Rock Café around 3 p.m.

The downtown Atlanta area will again be the site of our music festival, located between Peachtree Street and Ellis and Harris Streets. Along with the live music, there will be vendors and shops lining the downtown streets. You can sample food from Atlanta’s tastiest eateries.
