Circle of Friends
Host a salon gathering to benefit Grady Health System

As a way of connecting our donors to our mission, we are beginning a series of monthly cocktail parties to benefit Grady Health System. The purpose of these events is two-fold:

  • Educate Atlanta residents about the extraordinary work Grady Health System
    does in an intimate setting.
  • Create more Grady-friendly donors.

Inaugural Event
July 8, 2006 marked the first ever cocktail party to benefit Grady Health System. Charlotte King, Snowden & King CEO, and Elayne Leathers-Hill, Prestige Design Group CEO, hosted the evening at King's Stockbridge home. Dr. Leon Haley, Grady's chief of emergency medicine, and Marcus Boggs, Merrill Lynch, were guest speakers. Also in attendance were many of Atlanta's corporate citizens, small business owners, entrepreneurs and community philanthropists who all recognize Grady's value and economic impact on metro Atlanta and Georgia.

"Grady is vital to health care throughout Georgia, and it's our role as community leaders to invest in its future," said King.

Event proceeds went to the foundation's Friends of Grady fund to support philanthropic marketing and volunteer outreach.

The Circle of Friends network has been established to give community volunteers and other civic leaders an increased awareness of what goes on inside Grady and how they can get involved.
